I suspect that one of the best ways to meet a fairy might be to build him or her a small, dry, comfortable place to live.
One possibility is to make a fairy tent or a tepee and put it somewhere where a fairy might find it – perhaps in a hidden spot on a bookshelf or a sheltered place in your garden.

To make a fairy tent this is what you will need:
- a few twigs of about the same length
- some string
- some scissors
- a piece of soft (not stiff) cloth

Step one: Pick out the two most curved twigs, hold them so that they form a doorway and tie them in place with string. The trick is to wrap the string round and round in lots of different directions.

Step two: Add a third twig at the back and tie it in place so that you have a tripod. The structure should now stand up by itself.

Step three: Add your other twigs in the spaces, tying each one round and round with string as you go.

Step four: Drape your cloth all around the structure, leaving the doorway open.

Step five: If you like, you could decorate the entrance of your fairy tent with small flowers, lay a soft, clean green leaf as a rug and perhaps leave a small gift such as a tiny pair of fairy shoes.
Tadaaaa!

It’s beautiful. Any fairy would be proud to call that home.
Oh, SO beautiful!! I love the little detail of the tiny slippers at the door- so sweet! x
So sweet! You have a real gift for creating things.
I absolutely love your faery tent. Another great option is to plant some wonderful ferns that make a beautiful natural shelter from the rain for the faeries.
Your blog is magical!
Sending sunshine and faery magic back to you.
