a small summer fete – tomorrow!

7 December, 2012 ·

I have just been at the florist buying flowers for tomorrow’s fairy hair! Here are some pictures of previous fairy hair ventures, just in case you would like to see.

I have also been down at the church today setting up all the bits and pieces I have been making and posting about all week. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of my felt cake rings when they were finished, but here they are before they were stitched onto their rings…

You might have seen some of the rest of these pictures before as they are of things I often make at Christmas for markets and gifts, but I’ve made lots more for tomorrow.

Felted nativity sets…

Babies in cribs with dangling stars…

Spindly Christmas tree brooches…

Spotty felt toadstools…

Babies in little hanging pouches…

and robin’s nest rings

My friend Juliet, who you can read about here, will have a table of her own to sell the beautiful things she makes. These are some of her handmade cards.

It will be quite a small event as we are only a very few people, but we would be just delighted to see you there if you can make it – Croxton Uniting Church, 326 St George’s Rd, Thornbury, from 10.00am – 2.00pm.

  1. Divya Er, you better set me straight. You would prefer that I left some for other customers? Am sooo looking forward to being there tomorrow. xx

  2. Line Dearest Anna! I love the nativity sets! They are so beautiful! I wish I could have one in my house :-) You will sure put a lot of smiles on people's faces on the fete. You are a real "Gledesspreder" as we say in Norwegian, means something like "someone who spreads joy around". Have fun!
