While some needle felting projects are clearly a bit beyond me for now, I think I’ve found a project better suited to my level of skill. So I’ve demoted myself from the task of replicating the animal kingdom to the task of creating rough likenesses of smallish vegetables.
In doing so I have produced, albeit in rather direct contrast with my dreams of handcrafting glory, some felty articles which I hope do bear some likeness to carrots.
I will be offering these alongside some rabbits I have been knitting (see below) at ceres market tomorrow morning, along with lots of other handmade bits and pieces, once again raising funds for Orphfund.

Lovely Jo and her partner have been needle felting some truly beautiful creatures such as these:

And Jo’s very talented friend flickfish is contributing some gorgeous skirts:

If you have any spare fingers, please keep them crossed that the drizzle holds off tomorrow morning – not just for our little fundraising effort, but because Ceres markets are celebrating their tenth birthday tomorrow and that is quite special. And if you have a spare moment tomorrow morning and would like to drop by and say hello, or even deposit a handmade creation of your own in support of the wonderful work done by Orphfund, that would just make our day!
Hope to see you there xx
OH mY Goodness!
Hyperventilatingly cute bunnies and carrots…
