Violet Mackerel’s Brilliant Plot
The first Violet Mackerel book, Violet Mackerel’s Brilliant Plot, is about a girl with lots of theories, ideas and interests and a longing for a blue china bird she saw at the market, small enough to fit in the palm of her hand. It has been shortlisted for a Children’s Book Council of Australia Children’s Book of the Year (hooray!)
