A friend of mine, Wilma Davidson, has just published a book of poetry and I received my signed copy yesterday. I’m completely delighted with it and I read it from cover to cover in one sitting! The book is called Grand Love and its a collection of Wilma’s poems about grandparenthood.
One of my favourite verses is from her poem Curly Pow:
Three generations of curls
Dandelion clock soft
Long and wild
Short and tamed
And another couple of lines I adored:
She has left the cat
To talk to me!
I’ve met Wilma’s granddaughter and she is an absolute treasure. I hope when she’s older she reads Grand Love and enjoys it as much as I did.
