from Ceres to Total Girl in one bold step :)

Ceres gave us another gorgeous morning of warm, buzzing creativity! The festival atmosphere was wonderful and I even had my face painted with a moon and stars…beautiful! This is my favourite photograph for the day (courtesy, as usual, of Jo) of us all knitting and sewing and chattering peacefully (I’m the one on the far end with the grey cardie).

In total, through the stalls this week and last week, a little over $700 was raised for Orphfund by our motley crew of local crafters and we are absolutely thrilled to bits! Many thanks to absolutely everyone who contributed and supported us. We will have our next fundraising stall in October but in the mean time, Katie and I have been having so much fun that we may just turn up in between anyway.

In other news, tween magazine Total Girl (who will be reviewing Violet Mackerel when it is released and are wonderfully helpful in all sorts of ways) have put Violet Mackerel’s A-Z of Brilliant Ideas on their website. You can see it here if you like.

Haha :) I hope when she grows up she will be idle sometimes. Maybe in the sun with some knitting needles and some goats cheese and honey on toast possibly something nice on the radio…
