oh happy day!
Today is right up there with my top ten days ever! Right beside me on my desk are eight copies of Sophie’s Salon. Actual 3D objects with a little yellow puffin logo in the corner and my own name on the spine! (Penguin actually sent me ten copies but I’ve given two away already because the lovely admin staff at my work have daughters and granddaughters.)
Anyway I am tickled pink with how beautiful the books look and what utterly wonderful women its editor (Penny Matthews) and illustrator (Cheryl Orsini) are.
I’m off to buy myself a bunch of flowers and send a copy of my very first book to my gran!
